Jared the Chaos Psyker92 Posted February 20, 2021 Share Posted February 20, 2021 I know shooting isn't the forte of the Orkish horde, but from what I've heard the 8th edition has lead them to be "okay" with shooting. I know melee got a buff in the 9th, so I'm wondering where to expand my waaaagh as far as infantry. In terms of ranged combat, which purchase would be best for my Start Collecting boxset? I plan on getting a weirdboy and a boss, but as for some surprising long range firepower, which would be a good option? Run them up behind your boyz and target something scary like aggressors or a tank and they can do work. And if you have rokkit launchas aplenty and killkannons, lobbas and that, and scrapjets, the Boomboyz specialist mob makes them still the more scarier. And the fact you get one rokkit launcha and tankbusta bomm in every boyz box should give every respectable ork warboss (that is, one who's got bucketloads of boyz) a good many tankbustas already.
