We will need to see some pictures of course ;) Have you sorted the colours and methods for the scheme yet or just the plan so far? I think you could really make it pop with some shiny black carapace and the like :tu:

I’ll defiantly share them, lol. Oh and I did a list that’ll get shot off the board quick, but it’s hilarious to me.

been awhile I figure I'd answer a few of these before I continue...

Is that glue you've used? Excellent addition that really brings the theme home, nicely done

I used Hot Glue... I had to be quick about it

Looking great! You’ve really captured the horror of the Xenomorphs from the Aliens franchise!

Thank you

I love these! Really like the Malanthrope in particular, one of the best uses of cotton-wool smoke/mist/fog I've seen in a while.

Thank you for that, TBH I was kinda worried how itll look.

Awesome work! Is grid-head one of the aliens from AvP, as I recall?

Good Eye yes it is.

I keep returning to ogle these pics but forgetting to post.

These are amazing!

Did you just hold the model at an angle to get the drips between arms etc?

Did you prep the models before applying hot glue via sealant or 'ard coat or whatever you might call it?

sorry its been awhile since I reponded.. Working on multiple projects. However I did add a malanthrope to the collection and guess what I also added a Hierophant, but it was bought 2nd hand. Missing a right arm, so I improvised. I'll answer some question I didnt reply to, sorry about that.

it's funny but I was looking into doing Alien colors recently. easy to paint? fast? the glue would worry be a little but it looks good. they look slimy and shiny which I like.

what is your painting method for them?

Its pretty fast once you get the hang of it. I used the same technique for sponge chip weathering on the Carapace and drybrush kantor blue on the skin. After that I applu some Nuln oil gloss varnish to get the wet look. Once dry I add Micro gloss varnish to get an extra sheen and protection from the hot glue toothpick effect for the slime

nope, I just pick the hot glue up using a toothpick and then apply where I need em. I use micro gloss varnish, dries in like 10 minutes room temp of 70 degrees. I loike it to get the wet look of the xenomorphs

Now as promised.. here is the hierophant and not the malanthrope, because lets face it we've seen enough of those. lol

Yes I added bases to my hierophant so my opponent can physically can see where to charge to. lol

That was quick! Nicely done, it'll be a real centre piece and not just because of the size! The mouth spewing is a particularly nice touch, I don't know how good it is in game but I'm sure it'll suitably intimidate opponents either way...

So I wanted to make a display for some of my models in my collection. Here are some of them in what I call the Defense of Outpost 23. You can find the full Gallery here: Defense of Outpost 23

There's something to be said of such lists, go big or go home... Whenever I ran "experimental" lists I accepted that they tend to either work well, or not at all with no middle ground :laugh.: I'm sure that will be so for the Crusher Stampede, I'm looking forward to hearing feedback on how the army performs

Yeah I’m satisfied. Lol
