I just can’t shake the idea of mace of absolution and storm shield wielding gravis armoured knight models! The crusader armor of the bladeguard is a much better fit, I think GW made the right call there. The big thing to me is that Deathwing should play very different to Greenwing. Once you start duplicating main infantry units between them, you lose that distinction.
