Combi-Bolter Memery

[Calamity Salmon]

Basically I thought it would be funny to take the "bolter spam Imperial Fists" gimmick and slap it onto some Chaos Marines just to see where things landed. I chose Alpha Legion more for the two Combi-Bolter relics than their trait, although it will certainly be helpful regardless. It's mostly a "for fun" list, but I was still curious to hear people's input.

Termie Lord tele's in to snipe characters, Apostle and Termie Sorc support the Chosen squads, Cultists sit their happy little asses on objectives, and between the Helbrutes, triple Forgefiends, and Heldrake, I think there's actually enough scary firepower to just overwhelm most opponents with threats while the Chosen mulch whatever I point them at.

I gave the Raptors the Mark of Nurgle because I figured if they survived being wiped out, I could use the strategem to bring one back and force the opponent to waste more time killing a five-man squad with a bit of Melta threat rather than my blobs of Combi-Bolter Chosen. Mark of Slaanesh may still prove to be a smarter choice, but again, this is more of a hypothetical for fun list, as I don't have some of these models yet anyway.

One thing I did consider is swapping the Termie Sorc out for a Master of Possession so that I can actually support the Forgefiends, and probably use the ten leftover points to give the Raptor Champion a Combi-Melta, in which case I'd definitely give them the Mark of Slaanesh instead.

 

Anyway, yeah! This is my stupid Chaos take on a bolter spam list, lemme know what y'all think!
