Mace of redemption rule question

Sorry if it has been raised already, I've not found the answer.

I would like to understand how works the combination of Mace of redemption with Mantra of strength.

 

Do you think it worth it or shall I take benediction of fury instead?

MOS: +1D

MOR: for Heretic astrades a 4+ wound inflict 2MW and the sequence end.

 

That means that we are losing the +1W of mantra of strength? Same if we have Imperium Sword warlord trait.

Yes you do 2 MW flat since the attack sequence ends; that being said the MoS gives +1A so it's good still imho.

On top of that, the 4+ MW rule is against Chaos only, in other cases you would be comparing S7 from BoF against S10 from MoR, so it's still useful.

That being said, I'd guess the best combo usually would be BoF with Calibanite Knight, since wounding is easier and you get the +1D at the cost of 1 attack on charge.
