Just want to speculate a little before Saturday, we've got this silhouette to go off:

162032834 10165082962440215 2121247583418237036 N

I initially guessed maybe it's a repressor with a smaller casement on top, but thinking about it the position of the cupola/hatch with the pintle weapon has me leaning towards it being a turreted tank now. In fact I'd confidently say it's going to essentially look like a predator variant - you can see similar sponson mounts on the side.

My really rough idea presented below:

Whatever this is, it's not based on existing sprues. The brazier visible in the teaser image doesn't have flames coming out of it, and Deimos-style chassis sprue that comes with the Exorcist and Immolator doesn't have the option to build the braziers without flames. There's also no un-lit brazier on the Rhino upgrade so it's not based on that either.

A Predator-analogue could quite happily use either the existing Sororitas Deimos Rhino base, or the Astartes Mars Rhino base with just a single new sprue for the turrets and weapons. But what would you need to do a completely different hull sprue for?

REPRESSOR.

I feel like they've moved away from modular vehicle kits so they can wring more money out of us. Wasn't much of a reason to make the Immolator so incompatible with standard rhino chassis for the redesign otherwise. So I reckon it is going to be a predator analogue, unless they added sponsons to the repressor.

Wow. I have been wanting a Sister's MBT since 2003. My perseverance has been rewarded! Now I am truly hoping it will be T8; after all the Exorcist is T8 and that is also on a Rhino chassis.

Now if only Sacred Rose gets its Convictions updated and it helps out shooting, then Mechanized Sisters is something I want to do again :cool.:

I flipping love MBTs and this thing is gorgeous.

Tracks! GW, you fiends. A twist on Space Marine aesthetics diving deep into a well of baroque vehicle design even that range never reached. Now you bestow this glorious tracked beast to the Sororitas?

This is an absolute win.

I think it's a bit safe, and I'm sad it's not got a flamethrower turret, but I love the old Predator proportions and it's a nice looking bit of kit.

On the other hand, I've got 3 Rhino chassis I'm converting heavily to be interchangable Rhinos/Immos/Exorcists and this will be so easy to add to the options it's great.

Flamer duty is the Immolator's hat, the Castigator is meant to fill a long-standing gap in the Sororitas' capabilities, that being long range anti-armour firepower. A Flamer-type weapon, be it HF sponsons or a Baal Pred-style Inferno Cannon would be both redundant, unnecessary and counterintuitive to the Castigator's entire purpose. TL;DR, if you're close enough to use a Flamer, you're doing it wrong.

Just a shame the sisters already had a long range anti-armour option in the shape of the exorcist and I'm not sure a D6 shots, S8 AP -2 Dd3 is going to do much to unseat it. Actually I'm really not sure how the new tank will push itself into contention given it is going up against the multi-melta retributors, exorcists and walker variants for a place in a list

Nope. Hard pass on this.

Looks like a super lazy cop out to me.

People might accuse the exorcist of just being a whirlwind, but at least I looks completely unique. Same goes for the immolator as razorback.

This? Predator, no doubt about it. No change, no effort and aside from the bolters on the side: no holy trinity.

I legit actually hate this. I don't give two hoots what it's claimed to fill in the army. It doesn't look or feel right.

We got a ranged anti tank in the exorcist. If I want a battle tank, I'd take an immolator over this every time- mostly because this will never enter my collection.

I'm tired and sick and cranky so apologies for the abruptness, but yeah. Darn near repentia levels of miss here for me.

I'm in love with it. Happy to see the rhino basis continue, happy to see a sensibly-sized turret, and very happy to see something like a main battle tank for non-Guard. Now, just give me one for my Orks, thankyouverymuch.

Really hope they are good, cause I already want three of them.

I think it's fantastic, I love it. I don't care if it's competitive, I'll end up getting a couple of them. I was really hoping for an MBT to be in this release, and this doesn't disappoint me at all, it's exactly what I wanted.

As a general fan of vehicles I feel pretty meh about it.

Ya it fits the SoB aesthetic just fine, but add some sconces and French flowers to a leman Russ or a predator and it would fit the aesthetic just as well.

Some sort of melta cannon would have been more appropriate for an AT option, and then something like a twin HB option for full dakka mode of 5 HBs

Indeed, a thermal cannon or lance as the main gun, options for alternate twin avenger bolt cannons or mega flamey flame cannon.

With those options we've seen, this heresy doesn't even follow the holy trinity so can't even make a kit bash or scratch build to make one look like a proper sisters shriney vehicle like the immolator or exorcist follows because then it's some deviant with a non-trinity weapon.

Being close enough to use a flamer is 90% of the Sisters modus operandi. The other 10% is the Exorcist.

I'll keep my MM Immo's thanks very much.

Should've been a Repressor.

I like the design of the Repressor, but honestly, what would a Repressor really add to Sororitas? We already have two distinct transports, and I don't think a Repressor differentiates enough. If we get another transport option I want a flyer or a Land Raider.

I like the Castigator, but it doesn't wow me like the Paragons did. And I'm a full of tread head guy too

No loader's hatch. Not that I expect anything but "go down with the ship" from SoB.

The hull hatches seem somewhat blocked as well, unless they slide open horizontally.

It appears that the Castigator turret is larger than a standard Predator turret, although that may be due to the (seemingly) larger bustle box on the rear. But the top-down view they have on the Community page does show the driver and bow gunner hatches to be more blocked by this turret  than that of the Predator. It either has a different peice for the hull roof or the turret is bigger (longer). A longer turret would make sense considering the gun: you would need more room inside.
