Perry
Back on topic - the Monolith needs to move to heavy or not cost CP, because it's just not worth spending 3cp over that horrific points cost... I wouldn't mind the CP tax if it had Quantum Shielding Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/369574-necrons-9th-ed-reflections/page/2/#findComment-5685011 Share on other sites
Ahzek451
That seems to be the general consensus I have seen in other groups too. Either put it back to HS so it's more accessible and can get dynastic traits. OR leave it where it is and make it tougher, the popular choice being QS. Frankly I wouldn't mind the latter, but I would prefer something new and more unique to buff the defense. QS appears to have a design choice to live on vehicles that are light and exposed. I appreciate this aesthetic. I'd keep it off the heavier stuff. The move to a 2+ was great, why not build upon the living metal aspect? The monolith, after all was the first legendary unit to introduce living metal as a rule. I would prefer GW break the seemingly self-imposed restriction on toughness. Bump the toughness to 9 possibly 10. And give it a unique living metal that heals D3+1 wounds or something similar. Get creative with it, it doesn't have to be the above. Just don't copy/paste QS on it. Plague _Lord
Yeah, I dont want qs either. One thing I would like was giving back the eternity gate rule that let you teleport a unit to it, while activating rp protocols on the way. That would be really cool.
