The Wretched 18/11/23 - converted Land Raider

After getting last bits I needed I have finished my converted Nurgle Spartan armed wirh laser destroyers . Once again using lots of different kits including multiple warp lighting cannons parts from forgefiend and bloat drones as well as the bell from a skaven doom bell

I need to touch up with some green stuff but am happy with how it turned out, even managed to get my hands on some of the death guard land raider doors which look so good

So I've got the Spartan all done, now to try it out in a few games. Gonna see what other new plastic kits will be released for heresy as would love to get my hands on a  Plastic sicarian or Proteus if possible

Got my hands on the plastic Levithan and converted up another for my death guard as have been having pretty good luck running one able to shrug off alot of firepower and destroy alot of things in close combat, used the beast of Nurgle to give it a more possessed look 

Also painted up a Lord of Virulence and Plague surgeon to try out, like the Lov with death shroud but surgeon is a bit lacking especially when playing against a primaris player who can actually revive dead marines

Also, FW land raider doors fit on the spartan? I didn't know that. Did you have to do anything to them to make them fit?

Yeah all the FW doors fit perfectly on the spartan as same size

Haven't really been doing much lately as really busy with work but managed to assemble some more death shroud plus some of those AOS zombies to use as poxwalkers instead for some variety 

Also converted up a more daemonic possessed looking plague caster since I really like the 4th plague company the wretched since they were more psyker / daemon based lorewise and having a Possessed style hq would be cool like how in CSM you can normal make hqs Possessed characters though relics or traits

I have been excessively busy with work this month so haven't really touched my nurgle stuff at all, finally finished for year so able to try and get back into it and paint some stuff. A bit slow as trying to get better and try and paint more of the smaller detail I'm not the best at but have got the new Plaguecaster and Deathshrud Champion painted at least.

Never actually used a Plagueburst Crawler before so thought I'd get one to paint and assemble so can actually try a couple out for a change, especially now they are pretty cheap and can take multiple heavy supports so can include both them and my Las Vindicators which I love using in the same list

Played a 2K game against Blood Angels using alot of my vehicles just for fun as wanted to try and somehow make defiler alright with the Poxmonger Relic. I lost but was quite a fun game only losing by a few victory points, Defiler actually did decent managing to one shot Dante in combat which was funny

 

 

Defiler only managed to wound with a single hit that Dante couldn't save only to roll a 6 for the defiler's D6 damage and instant killed Dante  (the 1 is wounds left for the Sang guard)

 

Unfortunately, I don't think I can make the Defiler work as having none of the actual DG rules makes them hard to use even with all the free upgrades, they are just still expensive,  so have ordered another Crawler and try running double crawlers and Las Vindis as they work pretty well together. 

After the game decided to take some more smaller squads of plague marines with more of the plague weapons as didn't really have much of them made for my squads so made some plague flails, plague spewers and another 5man plague marines. will try running 3x 5man squads with 2x 10 poxwalkers in my next game

Small update got another PBC painted as have actually been more focusing on AOS lately as have struggled thinking of what else I can add to my army.

I did get an idea to attempt an interesting conversion as I try and heavily convert my own Predator. Just got to wait on the multiple kits I will need for the idea but shall try convert more this year trying out units I haven't used before. If my idea works, then I shall be able to use it for the other rhino chassis units like the Scorpius etc

I really love the Plagueburst with how awesome it looks but was always disappointed that GW didn't make any variants as it is a cool tank and some different like an actual battle tank version would be cool So using the Deimos predator, plagueburst Crawler plus a few other kits kitbashed my own version of a Plagueburst Predator. rather annoying yet fun and interesting at same time with how much I had to carve and cut up the different kits to fit and then use green stuff to patch the rest. Of course, being a daemon tank this predator is crewed by Nurglings, really wish more of the old DG stuff got access to all the DG abilities rules and weapons. Predators and defilers with plague weapons and DR for some sort of resilience would be awesome.  At some stage Ill get my hands on a Scorpius and do a similar conversion though maybe even a rhino or 2

Been a while since last posted here but here's the latest stuff I've done for my deathguard

Got the predator finally painted and have started to include some daemon allies with rotigus being first of some nurgle daemons I'll be adding to my DG

Next on my list is finally a foul blightspawn, another predator some helbrutes and some beasts of nurgle

Haven't really updated much to my DG for a while but following changes to 10th and DG in general got a few more units painted. Mainly Typhus and Blightspawn since never actually had the models before as well as Helbrutes since can't really use my FW dreads unless casual setting. Loved the old boxy design of the chaos dreadnoughts before the went all helbrute style so managed to get hold of the old FW ones with couple of weapon options since so good for our contagion spreading working as a tagging unit. Needed some more special weapon Plague marines so used the heroes flamer model plus a few other kit bashed ones

So I finally got my hands on the land raider Proteus model and decided to convert it up to my Death Guard force 

Thought I'd do something similar like how I converted my Spartan race though had to be a bit different due to smaller size and lack of same bits bit pretty happy anyways
