I know its probably not included in the datasheet because they come stock with a Storm shield and that has a better invuln save than the crux, but it still feels like an omission that they were not given one. So, for game play purposes, should any ability ever negate the save from the storm shield our knights will not be able to benefit from the crux, because RAW, they don't have one.

There are a few powers that remove an invuln save.. Death Hex and a few others... Then in theory the Crux ought to kick in but perhaps that's how some points were shaved off the DWK sometime ago

No, I'm pretty sure the intent here is that such powers say you can't make invulnerable saves, even if, say, Some Deathwing Knights are in the range of a Librarian's Force Bubble*. Like I said, the only time I can see such a rule coming up is in a more RPG-like setting where a Disarm mechanic exists.

*or whatever the 5+ Invuln aura power in the SM Codex is.

This is the same as Captain Lysander (Imperial Fists codex supplement) not having the Crux Terminatus ability because he has the Walking Fortress ability. It's nothing to be worried about. Any opponent's rule that might render one invulnerable save ineffective renders all invulnerable saves ineffective. I'm guessing that GW's view is that listing only the best invulnerable save keeps things clean and simple.
