Lykke
Are you going to follow this, or wait for Faq? - Seems kinda strange that they havent said anything about. So personally Ill wait for gw to make a statement https://www.reddit.com/r/WarhammerCompetitive/comments/mbleoj/psycich_power_nullzone_correct_rules/ Edited March 24, 2021 by Lykke Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/369677-null-zone-only-affects-enemies/ Share on other sites
DistractionTacMarine
The translated versions have had problems for a long time. Until GW provides an FAQ, the English rules should be considered the correct ones. Also, the story is a little sketchy. OP says that French codexes match the German, but in the comments people say that the French ones match the English. And I have not heard of anyone receiving a direct reply from the FAQ email in years - I know there’s a pic of it, but unless their German-language staffer is Just much more responsive than the English ones, it seems extremely strange that he would receive a direct reply to his question. All that said, maybe it’s correct and GW will correct it in the next Errata. Until that time, though, I will not change anything. Brother Ramael
Well, I'd have a hard time going to a tournment asking the refree to uphold Null Zone rules, the Reddit Version. Unless GW updates it, I'd stick with the english.. jeremy1391
Until it is officially errata’d in tournament play (where English rules are used) it will be rules as written. In casual games you can do what ever you and your opponent agree to. Emurian
Until it is officially errata’d in tournament play (where English rules are used) it will be rules as written. In casual games you can do what ever you and your opponent agree to. RAW isn't always the ruling the judge will adhere to. Example: In 4th edition you had this wording under the pistol weapon section stating: A model equipped with a pistol is allowed to fire twice at 12''. This did not state it had to be the pistol, so RAW, in theory, you could shoot a lascannon x2 at 12''. Yes I posted this troll RAW/RAI example on another forum back then, stating clearly I was trolling beforehand but just wanted to point out the wording. Still ended up in a multiple page discussion between 2 camps of people. =/ Regarding the OP question, I would follow the English rules in general with a game. Its rarely the case that the English wording is off compared to other languages. The only example I can think off is the old Pokemon Slowking card that had pokemon power in English that read: Mind Games - Whenever your opponent plays a Trainer card, you may flip a coin. If heads, that card does nothing. Put it on top of your opponent's deck. This power can't be used if Slowking is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed. whereas the original Japanese card had the proper wording. (Only worked if he was your active pokemon) They still went with the English wording at tournaments back then. So suddenly a mediocre card became really good because his ability worked while he was benched.
