Hi everyone

A friend asked me to build an army list explicitly tailored against his (supposedly) competitive Drukhari. The match will be in 2 days already...

His list will contain 2 Archons, shooty Kabalite Warriors, 2x 5 Incubi, 2x 5 Scourges, a Succubus and some Wyches, mostly flying around with 5 Venoms and 4 Raiders. From what I understood, Cabal of the Black Heart will be involved. Not sure about the wych cult though.

It would be nice if we can optimize a bit as I’m sure there’s still room to improve. I am leaning towards a list like this one, but I’m fairly certain that more experienced players know better:

Not sure if more information is required for a response. We are doing matched play (if that‘s the correct English description) and don‘t know the mission yet. I can try to provide more information if it’s necessary.

Obviously, my intention is to blast them off their boats and have 2 as solid as can be blobs of Paladins and Purifiers for objectives. Psycannons in Tide of Convergence seem to be enough for their ships and I expect their infantry to go down in Bolter fire.

I thought I’d give double Librarians a try for utility and hope to have enough counterpunch once they charge my units.

So read the strat carefully you can use it once per phase and it lasts until the end of the turn. I prefer a 2nd due to redundancy and survivability.

Thant way you can astral one unit, edict the pals. Then the 3rd purifier unit if you leave in the open can buff with armoured resilience and sanctuary. Also if in tide of shadows that unit is hard to shift.

You‘re right, that‘s actually neat! We had our game yesterday and I still got my ass handed to me, though.

I managed to get a hold of 3 out of 5 objective markers on the first turn, went ‚Bring it down‘, ‚Attrition‘ and ‚As long as we stand‘. But I barely dealt any damage at all in my first 2 turns, whereas Drukhari could move up close to the objective holders and shoot away with what seemed to be endless S8 AP-4 weaponry. Had I changed to Tide of Convergence on my second turn, I might have cracked 1-2 more fliers but probably also have lost half of my army in return. I conceded after his second turn, as there seemed to be no way left for me to turn this game around. Sad times.
