How many UM Companies are in your collection?

For all of your Ultramarine commanders, do you have multiple company's in your collection or have you started with one company and stuck with it throughout Army?

I'm starting with the 4th Company because it's one of the less represented ones Ive seen in forums and on the internet in general. I also liked they had rules a primaris named captain in Ventris. I really like the trim on some of the other companies like the 3rd with the red which IMO is an aesthetic that goes really well with the Roman theme. I've got plenty of models are more HQ units than would fit in the 4th Company anyway, so I think I'll paint them up to represent another company.

My Ultramarines started with the Dark Imperium box, only primaris models. It started with 1 company but now I got Ventris too makes me think.

 

But in reality, I have enough armies. Perhaps too many to start another company.

Brothers so far I have done my UM Fifth Company except for part of command squad,  almost finished my Fourth company have to do Capt Uriel Ventris and the command squad including a Chaplain, Techmarine for it and final painting of second devastor squad.     I already have part of the UM Third company started.      I probably have enough figures to do the First company with Terminators (18 figures),  a couple of Vangaurd and Sterngaurd squads.    I can do a part of a reserve assault company as I bought too many kits.       I also have about 90 Primaris figures  and associated tanks, turrets in a closet.     I have been collecting since third edition but no longer play.

Third all the way for me. But if I ever get around to actually completing a full company, I'll add squads from the First and the reserve companies, rather than having an over-sized Third.

I currently have the following:

90 veterans from First Company, plus Terminator Captain, Terminator Chaplain, Terminator Librarian, 2 Lieutenants, 1 Venerable Dreadnought, 1 Contemptor Dreadnought, and Command Squad

23 marines from Second Company, plus Captain Sicarius and Chaplain

100 marines from Third Company, plus 10 Intercessors seconded from Sixth Company as squad XI, 3 Inceptors from Eighth Company as squad XII, additional units (Aggressors and Centurions) as alternatives for fire support squads IX and X, Captain, Chaplain, Librarian, 2 Lieutenants, Techmarine, 1 Redemptor Dreadnought, and Command Squad.

10 marines from Fourth Company, plus Captain Ventris and Ancient

Captain from Fifth Company

30 marines from Sixth Company (not including the seconded Intercessors above), two Attack Bikes, three Outriders, and 1 Invader ATV

10 marines, 1 Land Speeder, 1 Storm Speeder, 1 Stormhawk, and 1 Stormtalon from Seventh Company plus Captain

Captain from Eighth Company

10 marines from Ninth Company plus Captain

20 Scouts and 37 Vanguard Primaris from Tenth Company, plus Phobos Captain, Chaplain, Phobos Librarian, Phobos and Reiver Lieutenants, and Telion

Plus 8 Rhinos, 1 Razorback, 2 Land Raiders, 1 Impulsor, 1 Repulsor, 1 Stormraven, and 1 Drop Pod

 

So I have a little bit of everything. Most all of it is painted at this point save the ten Fourth Company Assault Intercessors, five First Company Veteran Intercessors. two of the Outriders, one Land Raider (almost complete), the Stormraven (almost complete), and seven of the Sixth Company Tactical marines.

I'm close to owning a full Primaris company now - not completely built yet. It lacks the tanks (I dislike Impulsors look-wise), but for a single Gladiator. But in case of infantry I'm at about 90-95 marines. 

 

I also own a considerable collection of firstborn Ultramarines (somewhere around 75 men) and an equal size of heresy era Ultramarines. Both those forces are safely packed away in the basement while I build my kinda honour company of the Ultras (heresy era/2nd company colors without being 2nd company).

I'm running mostly second and third, with my veteran squads in first company

I started with the 2nd company (yellow trim, not gold!). I've since collected all of the 1st company, some squads from 3rd and 5th companies, half of the 10th, and since I picked up Ventris I'll need to add some 4th too. It's not all nearly close to being painted haha.

I started with 2nd Company back in the day, as I was young and didnt really know the fluff, and just thought all Ultramarines were blue and gold.

 

When I came back to the hobby and revived my collection, I expanded on the 2nd company and added some of the 1st with various Terminators. 

 

Then when Primaris came, I thought they'd be a reserve company to start with, what with being the new boys, so they were 7th (purple trim).

 

Now the Primaris collection has grown a fair bit, and they're more established, it made sense to me that they would be more integrated into battle companies now. So alongside the arrival of a certain Captain Ventris, several of my Primaris Marines are now 4th company.

 

So in answer to the OP, I currently have Marines from 4 companies!
