What’s the mathhammer for these two weapons vs vehicles?

My unscientific analysis is that cyclone melta lance is better for getting straight up penetrations through most AV targets, while the grav can tag multiple targets (so better against squadrons) and works wonders against infantry as well.

So grav is more utility while cyclone is better for anti-Spartan duty or such.

I wish every question I ask was answered this efficiently.

Grav is anti 2+ infantry and should not be fired at tanks.

Melta is anti tanks and is as good as 3 meltas stabbed together.

You can fire grav at a tank with not- awful odds of success. But it's not it's ideal target.
