Hey ya'll, so recently I wanted to take a shot at painting Helbrecht. I found a used metal model on eBay and unfortunately when it shipped the sword broke off in two spots, both his wrist and the hilt of the sword. Right now I've got it attached with greenstuff and a bit of loctite super glue, but his sword is still pretty wobbly. Any suggestions on how to make this fix more permanent? I was thinking about slapping some tiny chains around the hilt and his thumb/forefingers on the handle. I dunno?

Note that I changed the topic title. The original title of "How would you fix Helbrecht?" is a bit misleading and I'm sure any number of people would jump into the topic expecting to discuss various ideas for improving High Marshal Helbrecht's rules (and most of them would start with him crossing the Rubicon Primaris). The new title reflects the OP's actual question and scope of the discussion.

ohh man.... I had Helbrecht in metal 2 times and one in Resin + my own conversion with many parts of the original resin part (including the sword) ... and ALL 4 had the same problem as you have.

I used a hand drill very carefully and put a small wire between the parts and then then a superglue. This works

like this dude but way smaller drill attachment on both sides.

@Mazer Rackham - the way i described is called pinning correct?

Thanks a bunch for the recommendations! I've got a dremel kit so I'll see if they make ittybitty drill attachments to them that I could use.

A Dremel on something that small and fiddly could be unwise. Too much power and you compound mistakes pretty quickly.

Do you not have a hand pin vice?

I wouldn't use a dremel in this case, the precision of hand drilling is definitely the best option too. Also, I don't know the Imperial measurement (if it's needed) but a 1mm drill bit and pin will probably be as large as you can go without it being to wide of a hole and further damaging the bits.
