geektom
Hey there- me again. So for this upcoming tournament, I will need to convert my classic 70x25mm “rectoval” bike bases into the current 75x42mm ovals. Anyone have a line on easy conversions? Worst case I can always order some blanks, cut out the classic shape and “set” them in- but I am starting to worry about running out of time because of all the upgrading I need to do on my older models. Thanks! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370214-converting-classic-sm-bike-bases/ Share on other sites
Arkhanist
Well, you could always just bluetack the current bases onto new ones as a temporary measure for the tournament (possibly painted a different colour so they're also 'squad' markers), and fix it properly later. It's nuts you've got to change them though, bikes are still sold on the 20x75mm 'pill' base, and that's their official LVO base size! Primaris bikes, fair enough, but firstborn ones? Believe me, I agree- and this is for the Lone Star Open, which I believe is put on by the same people as the LVO, but I checked with them and that is what they said. Frustrating.
