eggroll
Hello! As a dedicated Blood Angel fan, I've recently started collecting some of the older pewter/lead models going back to 2nd ed. Currently on the hunt for a Leonatas and the Blood Quest models Cloten and Lysander but that's a different challenge. In my google searching, I came across this page listing which seems quite comprehensive: http://home-2002.code-cop.org/40k/marines_blood_angel.html Currently working through and buying as many of the ones as I can on eBay but one that I've never seen before and can't seem to find listed in the official GW "Space Marines Collector's Guide" in neither of the Blood Angels or Chaplain sections is this guy: http://home-2002.code-cop.org/40k/units/Blood_Angel_Death_Company_Chaplain.gif Alt description on this image is "Blood Angel Death Company Chaplain" but can't seem to find any other model reference that matches this. Was wondering if anyone else has a lead on this? Is this just a simple kitbash (I see a regular chappie arm and Tycho's head) or part of some ultra limited special edition model? Hopefully it's the former so I can cross it off my list of models to hunt for! Any help/hints would be appreciated! Finally if anyone has a lead on the Bloodquest models give me a shout! I see two on ebay for 300 and 450 quid but there's no way I'm that desperate yet! Xenith
It's from the original Index Astartes: Blood Angels, in the hobby section after the background. It's from a persons army converted from two chaplains and Tycho. Spinsanity
Looking at Stuff of Legends, this is clearly Chaplain 1’s body and right shoulder, with Chaplain 4’s left arm and Tycho’s head (which is arguably the most recognizable part of the model). Not sure where the pistol is from, as it’s generic enough to be just about any one... http://www.solegends.com/citcat1998/1998P333-01.htm http://www.solegends.com/citcat1998/1998P342-01.htm Demoulius and Spyros 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370265-helping-iding-a-model/#findComment-5699323 Share on other sites

Rhavien
The pose looks really cool though. I imagine his crozius is stuck in the head of some foe, while he aims for the next guy that's charging him. eggroll
You guys are epic! Thanks for the solid confirmation so I don't need to go ebay hunting for this guy! :D It's from the original Index Astartes: Blood Angels, in the hobby section after the background. It's from a persons army converted from two chaplains and Tycho. Thanks. Is that the Index Astartes Vol 1 or Index Astartes I/II/III/IV ? Seems to be a few similarly named books and I've been trying to find the right source. It's from the original white dwarf that had the index articles in, before they were collected and published in those volumes. Would have been ~2001/2002?
