Trokair
With things getting a bit better over here and places opening up again my local store is potentially running a campaign. Last time round I used a skitarii squad (count as Van Saar - old thread if anybody is interested) before COVID cut that campaign short. This time round I thought I would play as some Nomads from outside the hive, entering the underhive to raid for supplies or some such. Inspired in part by the old Ash Waste Nomads. I have a box of old Warhammer wood elves I will use as the starting point, and some genesteeler cult bits (leftovers from a neophyte box) and anything else I can find in my bits box. Of the current gangs which one do you think would best represent such a force? Akrim
I guess I would probably say Chaos Cults, or Genestealer Cults? Really depends what kind of force you are envisioning, shooty or assaulty, what sort of weaponry, etc. walter h and Trokair 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370318-what-gang-rules-to-represent-nomads-from-outside-the-hive/#findComment-5701272 Share on other sites
Trokair
I don’t really know to be honest, not a hyper shooty las and plasma Van Saar gang (as that was the last one), kind of up for anything. I managed to go to the local shop today and spoke to the player who will be running the campaign abut the idea and the suggested there was Orlock as kind of all-rounders. Will also have a look at the Cult rules to see how they feel. walter h 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370318-what-gang-rules-to-represent-nomads-from-outside-the-hive/#findComment-5701276 Share on other sites
Project XXVIII
Venators can be made to represent just about anything your heart desires. Pick the stat lines, skill blocks and if you’re so inclined even a house affiliation per fighter to add flavour for weapon armament. It could get a bit complicated with the introduction of the “House of...” books, but a little ingenuity should take the day. If you’re looking for a specific House,.. it’d be Orlock. Canonically they’re the “truckers” and “prospectors” of Necromunda. Not to say other houses don’t venture out into the wastes, but House Orlock’s bread and butter was made out there. If your Arbitrator is benevolent, it’d be interesting to see an entire gang of Wreckers, or models equipped with Wrecker jump packs. walter h, Dr_Ruminahui, Trokair and 1 other 4 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370318-what-gang-rules-to-represent-nomads-from-outside-the-hive/#findComment-5701351 Share on other sites
