Triarch Stalkers don't have bases! What the fudge?

So what to do about it? Do you measure from the guns or body or from the closest point?

What base size do people suggest using, as it's got a massive footprint!

Its the same deal with other things like chaos defilers and such. Just measure from the closest point to the closest point. But it can get a bit janky if the legs aren't glued still. Sometimes they can move around a bit
I must confess I'm a little worried about the structure of the Triarch Stalker being somewhat compromised, especially in transit to a game, by not having a base. I just don't think GW does a big enough base?

It’s nice in game, as you can have models underneath it.

Mines built with one big front leg down and one up. They’re all glued in place, so no weird range manipulation with moving limbs.

I measure everything off model, including line of sight to and from.

My control seat is not glued on, so you can take it off the legs for transporting. Still kind of a pain, but it works.

Idaho, I transport my Stalker (that has no base) in haphazardly glued together foam bits crammed into an old brown Citadel suitcase. The top of it even sticks through the tray above. I've never had any breakage on that model whatsoever.

My Lychguard on the other hand have almost every wrist pinned at this point from transportation breakages.

The people I've seen putting it on a base I think are using items of their own creation, though there's likely (as Tyriks pointed out with the Onager) GW options that come close enough.

Cool answers guys. I'll check out the Onager. They got to be very similar in size.

I'm thinking of converting one to have an almost construct appearance rather than a pilot. Or maybe a giant Necron type thing depending on how good it looks.

Triarch Stalker armiger conversion ETL2018 vow 3

I mean, if you wanted to do a Triarch Stalker with a base, you could always do a conversion.... :P

Of course, this guy doesn't like to stay on his base, but I figure I can eventually fix that with either pins or creative use of greenstuff.
