DanPesci
OK so to get how this works, you need to know how DI/Canticles work: "If every unit from your army has the adeptus mechanicus keyword (excluding agent of the imperium, unaligned, and KNIGHT OF THE COG units) this unit receives xxx." "Knights of the Cog" lets you give the "knights of the cog" keyword to one super heavy AUXILARY detachment (not super heavy detachment), as long as you have included an admech detachment prior to this. Which then makes it eligible for the above 'excludes') Basically this means you can include 1 SHAD per admech detachment, without losing any canticles/imperative on your admech. So yep, including a knight with your battalion should be fine! NOTE - Currently Metallica have a way of including several Raven knights without losing canticles, as long as you use the 'knight of the iron cog' start on every knight pre-battle. Magos Takatus
Which pool of Stratagems would a Knight of the cog be able to pull from if any? Knights of the Cog seems to be more about not losing benefits for the main Admech detachment rather than giving perks to the auxiliary Knight as well so I'm unsure if they can run around using Imperial Knight Stratagems. Death Grip looks fun but I might need to give up on it. So your good to go for Death Grip, happy squeezing.
