So, I was thinking of doing a 3k DA HH army. My brother likes DA also, might give it to him as a future present maybe. Here is the list-

I have about 485 pts spare, no idea what to add past this for 3k points. I would like to avoid the spartan and terminators if possible as those feature in my IW's already. Also not sure if I am applying the DA legion rules correctly, they are a mess IMO and not that great for the complexity involved.

I haven't tested this RoW yet, but I believe you should put dozer blades on all of your vehicles for a start.

You do not want them to get stuck on a difficult terrain board of your own making!

 

Consider Stasis Genades for your units, they are incredibly good.

 

The Praetor and the Companions (which I personally don't like in this list, since this is the Dreadwing on the field!) definitely need an assault vehicle.

I love lots about this list (possibly my inner Dreadwing coming through). Since you have the points, you can toss Digital Lasers and Master-Crafted on your Praetor. Consider a meltabomb, too (this is kinda optional depending on exactly how your points work out, sometimes you end up needing those points for something else).

 

With all the difficult terrain out there, you’ll definitely want dozer blades on all tanks, easy enough.

 

I’d love to hear how the Aquitor works out. I feel like this beauty didn’t get much real play before COVID hit.

 

Why the two squads of Tacticals in Rhinos? Your compulsory troops are already filled and Tacticals are kinda boring, so maybe consider something else? Contemptors for some more CC threat, Boxnaughts in Drop Pods for some backfield pressure, Tactical Support Squads, Seekers, or Vets if you want scoring boots on the ground (well, in transports that are on the ground...). Dreadwing really needs to clear out the enemy’s deployment zone, so make sure you can do that even if they’re trying to hide something in LOS-blocking terrain. Any Deep Strike or Barrage you can squeeze in will help.

 

I love Deathwing Companions, and they fit in just fine if you want them IMO. I do think you have too many shields for that size squad, though. Especially since they shouldn’t be getting shot at much inside their Land Raider. Toss in some more Power Fists or Terranic Greatswords for more punch.
