Cannoness Pistol Sniper (?)

Anyone considering this?

 

Cannoness armed with new Order of Our Martyred Lady Relic Inferno Pistol (Martyrs Vengeance -- 12" S9 AP-4 Dmg 3+D6) and the new Blessing of the Faithful ability "Righteous Judgement?"

 

This gives you a weapon that can target characters, ignoring LoS!, hit on a 2+, wound on a 2+ (against T4 and below), ignore all the way up to 3+ saves, and then do 4-9 damage when it goes through (of course, you can use a Miracle Die to guarantee 9 Dmg).

 

You still have to get within 12", but a Cannoness jumping out of a Rhino can do that pretty easily, kill a key enemy buffing character, then charge in with your Repentia or melee Celestians.

 

Sounds like the perfect Apothecary killer to me!

Not bad, but I like the relic plasma pistol more because you can snipe a character and their screen at the same time.

I think in the Skari review it pointed out that some characters/ superia can take two pistols. I thought that was fabulous, because some of my pistolero seraphim might get promotions.

I had a similar thought but using an Argent Shroud Cannoness with relic bolt pistol. More shots than the inferno at less damage, but a decent chance to proc the mortal wound portion of the blessing + AS has the built in ability to advance and shoot for longer range and a single reroll to hit/wound. Was gonna call her Jane Wick.

For Close combat, you could equip her with a pencil.
