Trollbeard
Hey guys, I will be building and painting my Silent king once I finish painting my Be’lakor model. Question for all of you who have painted him already, is it worth while to build and paint in sub assemblies? He looks fairly intricate and painting him fully built looks like it could be troublesome. Basically what are your collective thoughts on it? Lord Raven 19
I have mine partially painted in sub assemblies and definitely recommend it. I would suggest keep the base (with lightning), cloak, and king/Phareons separate at a minimum. I also have the phareons' pedastals, back, Ctan and blackstone obelisks separate. You might want to magnetise the phareons and the king to 40mm bases as well as the dais so you can use them as custom phareons using the overlord datasheet and the phareon strat, to help them stand out as more than a generic overlord.
