Diagramdude
Can you use Move Move Move to embark into a transport in the shooting phase if you end your move wholly within 3” of a transport? If you can, could you Move Move Move a unit that disembarked in the previous movement phase and embark into another transport? the rules say you can’t embark if you disembarked this movement phase, but it would now be the shooting phase. SteveAntilles
I think you actually can: OUT OF PHASE RULES AND EMBARKING ON TRANSPORTS We wish to add an example to explain how the Out of Phase rulesapply to units. When a unit uses a rule to make a move as if it were the Movement phase, all the normal rules that would apply in the Movement phase apply when making that move. For example, models in that unit cannot finish that move within Engagement Range of any enemy models, and if every model in that unit finishes that move wholly within 3" of a friendly TRANSPORT model, they can embark within that TRANSPORT model following the normal Movement phase rules regarding embarkation. Jolemai
No because you can't embark or disembark in a phase that isn't the normal Movement Phase (unless stated - such as the Drop Pod rules). To add, Move Move Move simply allows the target unit to move like it was that phase. Everything else is still in the Shooting Phase so the transport doesn't qualify for units to embark/disembark either. Diagramdude
Okay that’s wonderful for Kappic Eagles since I plan on turn 1 precision dropping 12 melta guns out of my Valkyrie turn 1 with the +1 to hit, but I can also move move move one of my scion troop squads that may start on foot into that Valkyrie for a turn 2 response OldWherewolf and walter h 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370717-move-move-move-into-a-transport/#findComment-5711835 Share on other sites
OldWherewolf
it also means you can use transports as slingshots. Advance a chimera up the board turn 1. On turn 2 you 1 - disembark the unit from the chimera then 2 - MMM a squad into the back of the chimera. Turn 3 you disembark the 2nd squad for up to an additional 9" move (3" for the disembark, 6" for the length of the chimera). Jetbikes? Who needs 'em. I've got guard on foot with transports in the middle of nowhere! Diagramdude
Yeah considering you essentially get an extra 3” movement with the disembark, then you can double advance and embark in another transport with another 3” allowance for embarking, you could really sling a guardsman squad across the field. And maybe even further movement with Crush Them allowing the chimera to charge after advancing. walter h 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370717-move-move-move-into-a-transport/#findComment-5712799 Share on other sites
