With the rumor of Hersey 2.0, I was thinking of making some Dark Angel's that sided with Luther. My question do you think those Angel's would follow the wing formations and benefit from the scions of the hexigrammation?

What units would you add to a list the became The Fallen?

Book 9 mentions a garrison of Deathwing Companions permanently guarding the Fortress of Aldurukh, so they (or at least some of them) could have been swayed/tricked by Luther and be used as his bodyguard.

More significantly, Gryffain, the disgraced Master of the Firewing, is one of Luther's councillors and will likely have imparted his doctrines on a relevant number of initiates. This is why I think the Firewing (Serpent's Bane) RoW would be the most fitting for representing this kind of force, doubly so because of its covert operations/secrecy theme.

With the other Wings it could get more difficult to justify fluffwise. The arsenals of the Ironwing and the Dreadwing very likely remained with the main Legion fleet and I feel their Rites wouldn't be very convincing or representative for a Caliban force. The same could be said for the Ravenwing, but with the caveat that bikes should be easier to produce and their doctrine of war is largely based upon calibanite traditions, so I would consider it less unlikely. Stormwing, to represent the swathes of recruits Luther has trained and then kept for himself during the Heresy, would be probably be up there, along with the Firewing, for the Rite that makes the most sense fluffwise.

One other idea I have considered is using the Army of Dark compliance rules, or the Sacrificial Offering ROW (both from book 6, I think) to represent a mixed force involving the Calibanite Jaegers, their human auxiliary forces that get mentioned quite often in the books.

As a last note, I think the original plan was to give Luther's dudes a different feel, both aestethically and rules-wise, to that of the Lion's Legion. See my previous post in the "Green Dark Angels" topic in this section. No idea if we'll ever see that, though.

In this sense, the Hexagrammaton has become a significant component of the identity of that part of the Legion that stayed under the Lion. 5/6 Masters and their recruits are with him, not on Caliban. Most of Luther's dudes are fresh recruits and probably haven't had the chance to make the relevant experience for entry or advancement in a specific wing, despite obviously having some veterans (see Gryffain or Astelan) training them at the top.
