I don't have a sanctum yet, but you did exactly what I want to do. I HATE how every single building GW makes is a ruin. I get that they are easier to use as area terrain, and I get that in war, battle damage happens, but damn... something has to be there before the first shot is fired, right?

I feel the same way. There should be buildings that are unbroken. I guess the only choice is to make them ourselves. Edited by walter h

That makes them tough to use in a game.  I prefer to leave the back open and just expand the floor space and clean up the rough edges on the upper floors to achieve the effect of playing them as undamaged, imagining that you're looking at a cutaway view of the building, not a ruin.

Yeah, I find that to be a good compromise too.

 

I'm hoping to experiment with stackable levels for terrain- I've been planning it for ever, but haven't actually gotten around to building it yet. It would require a fair amount of side-table real estate, so it won't work for everyone, but I still really want to try it.
