pauljamesog
Years ago I did a squad of DW for Space Hulk. I played the 1st edition so much, and fell in love with DW back then. The recent 9th ed 'Dex has me reaching to finally do a DW army, right at the same time that I discovered the 'grim dark' style as a different approach to painting. So here goes, with my first squad, using some old Termies and my experiment squad. C&C welcome- I have a few characters in WIP now Edited July 11, 2021 by pauljamesog Doctor Perils, lansalt, Chaplain Lucifer and 6 others 9 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370966-pauls-deathwing/ Share on other sites
Lord Raven 19
Love the models, the bases look a bit small though. You might want to consider moving them to 40mm bases? Wrath of Bruinen
Great work, loving the gritty grimdark take on the classic deathwing bone colours Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370966-pauls-deathwing/#findComment-5718789 Share on other sites
pauljamesog
Thanks for the kind words guys - they were fun to do in a battle worn style yes they are on their original 25mm Bases themed for Space Hulk. I’ll rebase them for 9th edition in due course Edited July 11, 2021 by pauljamesog Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370966-pauls-deathwing/#findComment-5718881 Share on other sites
FarFromSam
I love them. Especially the faded, worn decals. The older models have a consistent, memorable pose/silhouette that the new fancy multi pose models lack. Great job bringing them to life! LameBeard
1st edition space hulk - still the best GW game. Deathwing still one of the best bits of that game. I love the 25mm bases. Making me all misty-eyed again. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/370966-pauls-deathwing/#findComment-5720168 Share on other sites
lansalt
I'd suggest to use 32mm bases. That way they will look better, but still can be put on Space Hulk tiles without being too big.
