Kaldoth
So, I'm working on a Night Lords Master of Executions and I'd like to do a bit of converting on him. I want to replace the heads he's holding in his hand with some female heads. I have a standing rivalry with a Sisters player at my LGS :D But for the life of me I can't find any that work. The current SoB head sculpts are all grimacing, scowling, etc. I can't find any that look remotely... well, dead. I've looked high and low for 3rd party bits and no luck. It's like the rest of the mini production world isn't grimdark enough to produce decapitated females  So, does anyone know of any heads that would fit the bill? Screaming heads would do in a pinch, but I'm looking more for a slack jawed look. Cheers, -Kal Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/371064-looking-for-sisters-of-battle-bits-but-more-corpseified/ Share on other sites
Arkhanist
There's some in the anvil industry sets that are fairly passive expressions; e.g. I think at least 3 of these might work. Similarly, a couple of the victoria miniatures heads. These are 3d printed instead of cast, but still a physical product. Alternatively, if you want some *decaying* heads (additional scenic basing!) then you could do worse than fireforge's heroic scale zombies. WarriorFish
If a facial expression doesn't quite work, removing the jaw could change that (and would be impactful on top) but would require a bit extra work and probably a little GSing if you're not averse to it. Can't get more slack jawed than no jaw too, technically Or, if you're willing to go the extra mile (or for variety) replacing the jaw with a skeletal one would pop - GW's box of skulls has some and is generally a great buy anyway if you have even a small need of skulls (and it's 40k, so you probably do) LameBeard 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/371064-looking-for-sisters-of-battle-bits-but-more-corpseified/#findComment-5722811 Share on other sites
MaliGn
Aren't some of the new soulblight deadwalker zombies from AoS female? Might be something you could make work there? Gederas
Aren't some of the new soulblight deadwalker zombies from AoS female? Might be something you could make work there? Can confirm. The Deadwalker zombies has 12 (6 duplicated heads due to the kit being 20 zombies from the same sprues duplicated) female heads. That being said, some of them are also a bit decayed.... The following are all the female heads (apologies for the watermark, I don't have an unassembled sprue or I would have taken a picture of that ), with their part number on the sprue: Part 37 http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/images/soulblight_deadwalker_zombies_head_3_large.jpg Part 38 http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/images/soulblight_deadwalker_zombies_head_9_large.jpg Part 39 http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/images/soulblight_deadwalker_zombies_head_6_large.jpg Part 40 http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/images/soulblight_deadwalker_zombies_head_4_large.jpg Part 41 http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/images/soulblight_deadwalker_zombies_head_11_large.jpg Part 42 http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/images/soulblight_deadwalker_zombies_head_7_large.jpg Of the heads, I'd say only part 37 wouldn't work without cutting down of hair. 42 may be a little too fantasy female?
