angrom
Hi all. I am wondering if including a detachement of gellerpox is still legal in 9th matchplay? I know that the specialists detachement are not legal if I remember correctly but I cant remember about the gellerpox supplement. KingYertle
As far as I am aware, yes you can still field them as a detachment in tournament or matchplay. I checked the 2021 Grand Tournament Mission pack and did not see any changes to the restrictions (no under-strength, no specialist detachments). Obviously it would cause you to loose Contagions of Nurgle as your entire army would not be Death Guard. Technically I believe specialist detachments are only barred from tournament play, as the restriction only appears in the Grand Tournament Mission Pack. EDIT - The models however look great as Chaos Spawn, and as thematic filler for bases and vehicles. The verminoids look quite nice adorning my DG Landraider! jgascoine011
I think you could field them, but they would technically prevent you from getting the "contagion of nurgle" ability, and possibly make you not count as battle forged (but unsure on this). In 99% of cases most people would ignore those rules as quite honestly, the gellerpox are absolutly terrible. Tournaments are a different thing though if that is what you were looking to. Personally as mcb82 said, just count them as spawn, fillers for poxwalker units, and modelling oppertunities.
