New Emperor's Champion/Primaris Chaplain Kitbash Idea

Hopefully this is not just self-indulgent and you all might like this:

 

A friend sent this to our group, though I couldn't find the original post for this.  Appears to be an idea from Kabewski's Hobby Ideas:

 

 

Seems like a simple thing to magnetize the heads and hands, thus preserving the two separate models for use on their own.

 

I like the upcoming champion a lot, but I think this just might be better!

 

What do you think?

I like it, but my only comment is this:

The OG Emperor's Champion model was very reserved in terms of ostentation, and the new one keeps to that. IE: It's plain, but that's the point. The Emperor's Champion is supposed to be anonymous.

 

That conversion idea is nice, but I feel it goes too far away from the "less is more" approach the Emperor's Champion is supposed to be going for?

Yeah frater, fair enough! That's also part of the reason I have a hard time deciding which one I like more. The upcoming sculpt is great for that lore-inspired reason, but the chaplain's armor looks just great. 

 

One could imagine deviations for the various armours of faith across the galaxy.
