I reckon you desperately need more heavy firepower (as we all do with Terror Assault). You can't go wrong with Javelins, they are FA so invaluable for this Rite. Some folks employ melta bombs on Terror Squads but you can also go creative with, for example, praevian with castellax or mortificator. Graviton weaponry can also be a great asset if you face more heavy armour and that tends to happen in larger games. I'd also be inclined to add a second Raptor unit as I don't trust Terror squads to do the heavy lifting. Raptors are already a big fire magnet with praetor so maybe an apothecary? That's at least how I would try to reach 3k.

If I could also advise something about your current list: 4x chainfist seems excessive, wasteful even as it's usually overkill or someone dies before they can even swing it. I'd leave it at 2-3, and invest those points into more chainglaives or better a couple axes for Raptors.

I do like my terror marines and find the raptors die long before the terror marines get shot. If I were to take 2 chainfists off the terminators I’d gain 10 points leaving me 14 points shy of 3000 points (possibly raptor axes?). How about this...

Javalin x2

-multi Melta X2

Land raider phobos

Armoured ceramite, extra armour (use some points by taking away the terminator teleport)

Terror Squad X8 (Add Preator and an Apothecary to this squad)

-x8 Volkite Charger

-Headsman: Artificer Armour, Bolt Pistol, Nostraman Chainglaive

-Rhino Armoured Carrier, Legion.

Apothecary detachment x3 man squad

-1 jump pack (for raptor)

-3 chainglaives

-2 artificier (for 9 man and 8 man terror squads)

Chaplain consul (what would be a good crozius as a sword or an axe?)

-refractor shield

-jump pack

-volkite

3 multi Melta’s (rhino’s)

Extra armour (rhino’s)

Looks interesting. Btw my mistake, I thought your praetor got a jump pack, hence the apothecary remark. But since you're adding there a Chap, then all's good.

Ah, that means you need more Raptors! But sure, stick with Terror if your results are better.

Do you intend to give your medics chainglaives? While it's fluffy, remember - 1 attack base, WS4. Raptor swings it 2.5-3.5 times more effectively and it's cheaper for him. For Terror squad Apothecaries, sure, but power sword is better in virtually any given situation (barring 2+ saves).

Chap's weapon is a preference. I favour reliable axe BUT sword can kill enough folks on higher Initiative to enable TfM so your choice.

Thanks for the help, I’m thinking about using the blood Angel chaplain with a jump pack, swapping the Crosby’s out for one of the knives from the tactical squad/ sternguard set and then an ace or sword.

I can see the sword being good with TFM and getting +1 to hit and wound but it would struggle agains challenges against arrificier armour sergeants.

I can test it out and always swap a terror squad for another squad of raptors if I’m short on the melee although I do like my volkite.
