Feels like cutting corners is not a good idea with the airbrush.

There's 3 basic rules with airbrushes:

  1. Take your time
  2. If you think your paint is thin enough, it probably isn't :tongue.:
  3. If you think your airbrush is clean, it probably isn't :tongue.:

 

Then I push the rear end of the needle until I can pull it through.

Just for completeness, if you have a Harder & Steenbeck, doing this can damage the waist seal due to the "identification notches" at the back of the needle :(
