Hey guys,

I’ve recently ordered some MKV armour from FW and have received an email stating the following:

The following items are currently out of stock and sadly will not be restocked after having sold out entirely and discontinued from our range.

99550101511 SM MKV HERESY ARMOUR

As we have no stock left across any channels within our business we are only able to remove the item and issue a refund

Apologies for the font colour, my browser is having some formatting issues. I’m not sure if anyone else received a similar message on a recent order?

Color BBCode removed (too close to white, affected users on the Mobile skin).

Is this response different from one anyone has got about kits that have gone 'Out of Stock' while be reboxed?

To be honest, there's so much now which is "No Longer Available" that it doesn't make sense anymore. I've been told similar things by Customer Services only to see things reappear later on.

I'd just keep an eye on the webstore to see if it comes back again. It could be that plastics are coming and they're being discontinued, they might have a problem with their molds, or they might just be out of stock for a little while and there's no space in the casting schedule to fit it in.

I'm in a different trade, but we tell (or sometimes get told to tell) our customers that something is no longer available not because it's never going to be made again and will never ever return, but because its so far away as to be irrelevant at this moment in time when considering the present needs of the customer (e.g, someone is unlikely willing to wait 6 months for a £200 washing machine, but may be happy to wait 12 months for a £4000 guitar).

So the idea is to not lead the customer up the garden path by saying 'it'll be here next week' for ten weeks but to give the customer the opportunity to buy something different (ideally) or leave them with enough goodwill that they'll come back and buy something in the future because we've told them the truth and given them their money back.
