Midwinter Minis, who recently uploaded a review for Warhammer+, had their video claimed for Copywrite infringement. Reviews as well as parody are partially protected under the same law as long as the contents are only used for the purpose of review/parody.

They just posted on reddit that the claim was manual, which means a human had to physically claim it and not an automated bot. This means that someone at GW is going after reviews of their products.

Hopefully we can use this thread to update on the situation and if anyone else finds their content claimed. Please do not start any fights in here or :censored: measuring contests, I would like this thread to record the situation as it unfolds and how it ends.

There are a lot of smaller creators out there that do not have a platform to get the word out, when they are falsely claimed. Hopefully this will be resolved as a mistake allowing GW to correct the matter.

The moment I posted the thread above, Midwinter Minis have updated the reddit thread:

EDIT: Good news! The copyright claim has now been removed. The GW legal team responded and said it had been erroneously flagged.

Please keep this thread clean in case this wasn't the only erroneously flagged review, so they can post here and hopefully get the word out.

Not much discussion to be had on this one as it's pretty open and shut, I have also moved this to Amicus as it fits better here
