Not personally but it strikes me that it would be tricky. Moreso than an all-Marine army from some other factions. DG Infantry don't have much in the way of mobilty or long ranged firepower. Non-Marine units like Bloat Drones and PBCs specifically cover these weaknesses. If you omit these you will definitely be making your life harder for yourself.

Having issued that caveat you will also be able to bring a significant number of very tough bodies to the table. Teleporting Terminators of both flavours will help to alleviate some of your mobility issues and the combination of 3 wounds at T5, 2+/4++ and Disgustingly resilient makes them harder to shift than curry sauce from a white shirt.

Check out the "Terminus Est Assault Force" - plenty of folks have given that a go over the last few months, and there's a Goonhammer writeup and plenty of stuff around the internet if you take a look. Anybody running all-vehicle DG is almost certainly going to be using the TEAF.

I've never tried it personally but might consider it for a fun game sometime down the line.

Its a tough sell with no heavy weapons of value. Teleport is a trap. Most decent lists can zone you back into your deployment area pretty easy and you lack the firepower to clear a landing zone. All that said 24 terminators and 120 poxwalkers led by Typhus would win games. Slowly

Thank you! That´s exactly what I was looking for.

Can anyone shortly explain the benefits of that Terminus Est Assault Force? From the Goonhammer article it seems to be

  • a unit of Poxwalkers can be moved an additional 3"
  • a new psychic discipline?

Could teleport some unit which don't have teleport ability normally(e.g. possessed), to the 9" charge position. Interesting concept, but very unreliable.

Most of the time I run one or two dreadnoughts and the rest is infantry. Terminators march forwards with a group of support characters, Deathshrouds and a termie lord teleport in while marines and cultists do actions. I don't play in tournaments, but in casual play termies have mulched through knights, guard, orks, tyranids and whatnots pretty brutally. If you also play on boards with interesting terrain setups, ie. other things than boxy buildings as well, our footsloggers can feel surprisingly mobile when they ignore all the penalties.

It won't bust any metas, but it is certainly fun.
