Nice work! Honestly, I think they're reflective enough that you don't need much in the way of shading. If you do, you might add some brown ink to the silver and use that on the undersides, but again, the effect is already there.

I personally think they look great as-is. As Vakarian mentioned, if you're happy with them, that's really what matters most at the end of the day.

Putting the insomnia to good use, converted up the 5th custodes using some printed parts to vary the pose up.

Wow both warbands look excellent and should be really cool opposite rash other with the bright and shiny vs the dark and nasty.

I really like the mix of models in the chaos with lots of exoteric bit of tech.

I managed to get the next two painted up this evening, so now I'm just waiting on the remaining few to arrive.

Bits order finally turned up, so kitboshed together a spear leader/chield captain and put together the BL characters to expand the roster. At this point I practically have close to a

40k army I think!

 

Should be able to get the pair of custodes painted up tomorrow with any luck.

Man, what a quality thread. I love the adjustments you made to the custodes, I've always found the proportions hideous, but now you've made me want some.
