Axilleas
Reading the description of how the redeploy works, it appears you can select any core unit in your army to redeploy, including units that you've already placed in the teleportarium. Since the rulebook does clarify that the redeploy does happen after determining who gets first turn, this seems like a very useful tool to place your reserved units back on the table. Seems like it would be useful deploy defensively and then switch to aggression if you get first turn and see some openings. Using shunt and GoI to get units on objectives in no man's land earlier (and potential purifying flame/stranglehold VPS) when your opponent is expecting turn 2 drops. Any units they are using to block their backfield are unlikely to contribute to pressing the midfield. Either way, it's nice to be able to choose where on the table you want to go. I'm hoping to test it during my next game in a few weeks. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/371642-foretelling-of-locus/ Share on other sites

RedemptionNL
Was under the impression first turn is determined after deployment in 9th. Yeah, it is, but rules that trigger "after deployment" and "after both players have deployed their armies" do so after players roll for the first turn. It's a bit unintuitive, but for reference check the Core Rulebook FAQ, second page, top right. You can see these abilities are to be resolved in the "Resolve Pre-Battle Abilities", which is after players rolled for first turn: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/371642-foretelling-of-locus/#findComment-5739956 Share on other sites
