Malakithe
I just want more Primaris DA with robes/hoods. Thats it. Slap some cloth on that power armor and im good. I mean I wouldnt turn away some sort of Gravis Deathwing Knights unit as well. Karhedron
If hey did do Primaris terminators, they should try and come up with something a bit different I think. Just redoing normal Indomitus terminators but with knee rims and flexi waist armour, and the biscuit tin circular reactor on the back isn’t going to cut it. Primaris armour echoes Mk4 armour (which is supposed to have been the best version according to the fluff). On that basis maybe Primaris Terminators should echo the design of Tartaros Terminators to some extent. painting.for.my.sanity 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/371900-black-templar-teaser-what-it-means-for-space-marines/page/3/#findComment-5752108 Share on other sites
Orange Knight
Aren't the Aggressors the missing image? WrathOfTheLion
Don't quite think so, as Gravis are still standard line infantry. For example, there's no Gravis in the Deathwing, so we can conclude that the role hasn't been filled. Perhaps they just intend to keep Terminators as is, I'm certain we'll have a pretty definitive answer when characters like Belial get an update. Helias_Tancred
There needs to be primaris terminators because gravis armor is not as special or as good as terminator armor. It does not replace terminator armor. BLACK BLŒ FLY
Terminators are more survivable than gravis due to 2+ and invulnerable saves. Helias_Tancred
Terminators are as iconic to 40k as a bolter. If GW doesn't simply make primaris marines in terminator armor, however they want to legitimize it, then they will have screwed the pooch and then donkey punched it. Blindhamster
Actually, in the lore, the one time gravis and terminator got directly compared gravis is called out as having more advanced systems and being almost as resilient whilst being more manoeuvreable. IMO, gravis should all have had the rule to move, run, shoot that old aggressors had. (Including stuff like gravis captains IMO) With the most recent rules update gravis got made mechanically less impressive with most of the gravis units losing their special rules and by giving terminators and extra wound. I really think gravis should have the rule from their strat built in to represent their resilience. And yeah, the silhouette of the Tartarus terminator armour and gravis armour is very similar, but I do agree with others that GW seem to have decided now that gravis isn’t the primaris terminator equivalent and we will probably get something new. I’d like to see it take elements from Tartarus and indomitus and gravis when it comes personally. TheNewman
No, the Suppressors are very much not that. Karhedron picked a bad image of the Tartaros Terminator, one with just the base Stormbolter and Power Fist would have been better to avoid the confusion over the squad heavy weapon.
