With everything now out in the open, the review embargos lifted and there being no more rumours or teasers to come. It strikes me that the rumours thread has served its blessed purpose, and we should start a new thread to discuss the contents of the new supplement, although maybe a separate thread for lore might be wise too?

First up, Goonhammer reviews of the rules and box:

I'm more interested in what Laeroth has to say than any of these reviewers. I don't know how long they've had the book, but probably not the half year something he has had it?  Though getting hard deets should possible finally.

Also, TT have pointed out one janky rule, paragon of fury currently doesn't say that the +1 strength if you complete a charge ends at the end of a round.

So if you charge the warlord multiple times, you just get stronger!

Expect a FAQ!

Vehicle Upgrades

As well as character options, the Datasheets section also includes the Black Templars Armoury, which enables you to take a multi-melta upgrade on Primaris vehicles (i.e. Impulsors, Gladiators, and Repulsors). This will run you 20pts, which isn’t cheap, but if you were lacking multi-meltas in your life then throwing one on an Impulsor is certainly an option you can choose. Bearing in mind that you can have a 5+ invulnerable save on those for free with Uphold the Honour of the Emperor, spending your shield dome points on one of these instead might well work out.

Oh my.

Looks again at his impulsors and LRC multi melta turrets...

I haven't had the time to read this properly, but can a primaris Crusader squad initiate be equipped with a power weapon?

I'm not sure. One review almost suggested as much, others didn't mention the idea.

The only power weapon option on a Primaris Crusader Squad Initiate is a power fist, which can be taken as 2 PF per 10 models (alternate options are the pyreblaster or heavy bolt pistol*, also 2 per 10).

*this is probably a mistake but it's what it says in the book

Oh, I have so much to say. So much to talk about. The combos in this book are awesome. We have so much play now.

Weird, but I'll manage.

Can primaris Crusader squads combat squad?

Better than nothing, and you can make it a relic

I'll just use it as count as then. I expect a faq to adress a few things.

It's weird that sword brothers are locked like that since they showed a sword brother unit with three power swords in a picture. Not surprising that GW ignores the rules when displaying stuff, but still. I'll be getting shields for them, and building them to be much cooler Bladeguard veterans.

My main concern is the possible loadouts are for the primaris crusader squad.

Any other shooty options than pyreblasters and autorifles?

no power swords or axes for initiates?

it is my understanding that any SB can exchange a chainsword for a powersword.

Yes. Every single model can have a power sword (!)

Axe, Maul, Hammer, dual claws as well as plasma pistol is limited to one each, and Pyre pistol is 2 each if the squad is 9 models or fewer. If you have 10 models, its 2 each, and 4 pyre pistols.
