I like Incursors myself, and a squad if ranges intercessors with an upgraded sword brother are pretty useful backfield.

Impulsors have a place too.

The Primaris Apothecary with Vox Espiritum is a pretty key unit too.

I think the list changes depending on whether or not you have Grimaldus. He has an aura of 6+++ and it works for dreadnoughts as well as infantry, meaning you don't need an apothecary so much. But not taking an apothecary means you can't resurrect dead guys, which is a shame because that's very efficient for things like eradicators, bladeguard and aggressors. As such, Grimaldus encourages you to take big crusader squads and redemptors, whereas if you take something like a biker chaplain you'll probably want an apothecary, along with the more expensive infantry units that he's good at reviving.

BT Impulsors are so good (thanks to a 5++ and multimelta) that there's a case for running a lot of them, full of things like bladeguard and hellblasters.

The "Black Tide" of fielding several massive crusader squads looks interesting. I have no idea if it's good as I've only got 10 Crusaders, not 80.

I quite like the idea of a 5 man intercessor squad with stalker bolt rifles and witchseeker bolts for the Sergeant. This will give you the potential option of having the unit fire twice, doing 2D3 mortal wounds to a psyker if you hit, and maybe another 4 wounds. That actually seems quite nasty from what's otherwise a 100 point action monkey unit.

Helbrecht is almost annoyingly good, making any other Captain option pretty much redundant. That +1 Strength aura is particularly good in a Black Tide style list, though not as much if you're running mech in Impulsors. Even if you don't need the aura though he hits almost ridiculously hard, making him a decent option.

I'm not too sure what the 3rd HQ should be, or even if you should take one. I quite like the idea of a Lieutenant with the Teeth of Terra. This is partly just because it's an awesome relic and we haven't been able to give it to any other Primaris model before this. He's pretty cheap at 75 points and his buff is always welcome.

I guess it really all depends on the kind of list you want to run, and what you're going to be facing. Are you trying to be 'fluff oriented' or competitive?

From a fluff (and old-school rules) perspective, I never run a list without the Emperor's Champion. (He was an auto-take over [750?] points when I first started playing)

They just released a primarus version, so it'd fit with your theme.

Look into Helbrect and Grimaldus. Both are impressive models (ATM not released in primarus yet) and have handy abilities.

You can't go wrong with CC oriented squads. Assault Intercessors and Crusader Squads. Foot slog or mount depending on what you need.

Range is always a key factor. I like Intercessors kitted out for both standard BR as well as stalkers. Gives a good flexibility for range and infantry stopping power. Hellblasters for heavy infantry and lightly armored vehicles.

Sprinkle in a tank or two, or speeders, and you're all set.

Just my 2 thrones.
