TheNewman
They hid it down in the third or fourth paragraph, but Octavius is pulling a "Faith and Fury"++ and contains the first official non-loyalist-Marine Codex Supplement. Talk about burying the lead. I do wonder how that's going to work once the full 'Nid codex comes out, whether it will still be valid or if Leviathan will get a free Index like Black Templars between Marine Codex 3.0 and their full Supplement release. Also whether the other hive fleets will get Supplements at some point. The Pounder
Makes me sad we won’t be getting a codex anytime soon. However, it’s nice to get some new rules and for all the rules to be put in one book. Can’t wait til Saturday to preorder! WarriorFish
Details in the N&R here if anyone needs them. It seems like it's more of a general nid book with some Leviathan bits which is just as well as I can't see any fleet warranting a supplement to themselves? I hope this doesn't mean the codex is that much further away, but that said GW have invalidated books with shorter shelf lives before so who knows I don't play Leviathan so I can sit this out and wait for the codex? The Pounder
I believe the rules are transferable between Hive Fleets. There’s just extras for Leviathan. WarriorFish, do you have the Blood of Baal book? If not it might be worth getting it. I’m going to get it once I’m back from holiday probably around Warhammer Day. WarriorFish
I've been waiting for the new codex to get books, don't want to decrease the life of a book as I've been burned before, so think I'll wait it out. Will have the army ready for it by then at this rate :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/371978-codex-supplement-leviathan/#findComment-5752482 Share on other sites
Xenith
This is great news - however probably wont get it - I'm focussing on playing with the newest codex until the next newest one comes out, so I'll be running my thousand sons, rules-wise until the full nid codex drops (and invalidates these rules). I'll 100% be adding to my swarm though, so I have plenty of options when the codex drops - using these rules as a guide to what might see buffs. I honestly believe nids might be one of the strongest 9th ed codexes at release. It has the potential. Closet Skeleton
They hid it down in the third or fourth paragraph, but Octavius is pulling a "Faith and Fury"++ and contains the first official non-loyalist-Marine Codex Supplement. Talk about burying the lead. Its no way near the first. Cult of Strife, Martyred Lady and Forge World Metalica have all gotten them already.
