I'm just curious who's watching it, and how do you feel it depicts us?

Accurate?

I have not seen a single blonde haired marine yet though lol. While I like how it depicts the Black Rage, it is different than how I imagined it from years of reading about it in codexes, novels, etc.

Pretty interesting that the captain wears terminator armor and his honor guard were all in terminator armor too. So far it hasn't mentioned whether he is a company commander or just a captain out with his own complement of marines? For what its worth the power armored blood angels are all from 3rd company with the white blood drop on the right shoulder pauldron.

Overall I've been happy with the content of the episodes, how it shows the characters, especially the important factor of your own brothers when you deal with two genetic threats 24/7. The depiction of combat has been what I expected, good. Techmarines earned new respect in my book, the one in the series is arguably the best character ;).

Mephiston was shown well- very creepy and almost condescending. Aloof definitely.

I'm not a fluff afficianado by any means, so I can't offer any further insight into whether it's an accurate depiction, but I've been quite enjoying it. I appreciate the humanity in the characters rather than just telling a story about what they're capable of.

My favorite character so far has been the Chaplain, but I'm excited for Ignis to be introduced.

enjoying it so far, and the depiction of the rage was cool, as was the care given when they realised what was happening.

I like Kazarion a lot, hes basically the deathwatch character i made when I played a deathwatch campaign :D. But I also loved Ancaeus in the latest episode. The techmarine is also badass

I'm enjoying it, however I've just (as in right now) got my other half to watch up to the mid season break and she's just had a small rant about all the Blood Angels being idiots.

It's hard to disagree!

Still, I do like Kazarion and especially Hadriel.

As I mentioned in the Black Library forum, I really like that the other Blood Angels are suspicious of Kazarion because he understands the enemy, like a good Space Marine shouldn't.

in a chapter of 1000 or less I can’t imagine there are too many captains…I’d say there’s roughly 10…

No. In previous space marine novels its mentioned captains in the chapter that are not company commanders but have other duties within the chapter, especially those that have been deemed unfit for regular batteline duty  due to wounds, etc ....

That's new for me. It's definitely possible, but do you remember perhaps in which novels that could come out?

BloodQuest obviously comes to my mind as Leonatos remained a Captain even throughout his exile, but it's an old source.

If there's any chapter with excess captains, it must be the Ultramarines (The 2nd company probably has more captains than sergeants).

For example, in the Dark imperium novels, Cato Sicarius retains his captain rank while no longer leading a company.

In both Rynn's World and Devastation of Baal it mentions captains who are not company commanders that have duties and are also on the chapter council along with the captains that are in command.

My favorite character so far has been the Chaplain, but I'm excited for Ignis to be introduced.

Definitely worth the wait.

The dialogue during/after the duel with the Magus felt pretty weak and clunky.

I wasn't aware Marines who fell to the Black Rage had glowing red eyes, otherwise I enjoyed the fight with 'Horus'.

they don't, just like their armour doesn't magically change from red to black, it was artistic flair for the scene at hand.

Not gonna lie, what actually brought 'Angels of Death' to my attention was the awesomely designed gameboard that they were doing there battle reports on and the models along with it. I discovered a recap/teaser video on the warcom article featuring the battle report and I was pretty impressed. Is it worth the 5.99 USD subscription to watch the series?

I previously started a small force of Blood Angels to use up a few models I didn't want in my other Space Marine armies and to have an army solely dedicated to smaller combat patrol/incursion games and for Kill Team. The video definitely gave me a decent amount of motivation to paint and model with them some more!

The final episode just aired today. I quite enjoyed the series. If your plan is to subscribe for a month, finish the series, and then cancel I'd say it's absolutely worth it. Watch the other stuff as well, too! The other animated series has been great, and I've also enjoyed the lore series, as a lore layman.

I enjoyed it, a lot, however I do have several beefs.

1. Chaplain Rafael was killed from THAT?!?! - his Astartes enhancements should have healed him in time.

2. Captain Orpheus was killed from THAT?!?!- ditto from above.

3. The dreadnought went out too easily imo.

4. Glowing eyes when under the red thirst/and or black rage?

Clearly supposed to reflect the ire of the dice-gods :P

Not entirely sure that is what I expect from lore though

Warhammerofficial on Instagram referred to the "first season" of Angels of Death. Was anybody else aware there would be more than just the one season? I wasn't, and I'm excited. I presume they'll get back to BAAL for the Tyranid invasion?

I saw that! I'm pretty stoked too.

You have to remember I believe they're saving one of the characters in the dreadnought chassis moving forward.... :D
