DukeLeto69
Ok first up I know this is against the B&C rules so apologies to the Mods and feel free to delete/lock as you see fit. 99.9% of the time I think I am a well behaved Frater? So who has seen Dune? What did you think? Slightly tenuous 40k link for the topic... 1) The scale was massive. The ships simply huge. Very much in line with the enormity of 40k and IoM. 2) While the architecture was brutalist rather than gothic, it was still over-poweringly huge in the same way 40k is, diminishing the individual and removing the human scale. Again very 40k. 3) Armour and swords in a sci fi film! Very 40k. It gives me hope that a 40k live action movie could be achieved (I previously thought only computer/animation would be possible). Off the back of Dune’s success (in a Covid world it is doing well) apparently lots of other properties are getting adapted/greenlighted. We already have Foundation on Apple TV and HBO might proceed with Dune: Sisterhood. Does a revived interest in sci fi bode well for us ever getting that Eisenhorn TV series? Could material currently intended for Warhammer+ find a home/audience on bigger streaming services (assuming GW want to go down that route)? Or should W+ have unique content and GW licence other content (like Eisenhorn) for wider audiences/streaming services? WarriorFish
Being a "good member" does not somehow earn rules violations. Nor do we need your permission to enforce the rules as outlined as the requirement of membership and participation of this site.
