There are several limited edition miniatures made by FW over the years for the 30k setting many are cracking minis in their own right that have no current replacement (not all) how would people feel if FW released these as normal run minis at normal equivalent prices

I suspect people would be happy about it and it would improve any goodwill that people have/had against GW/FW.

It would also reduce the moral justification for buying them from Russian and Chinese recasters. Today recasters are the only source to get a newly produced miniature from the FW limited edition range.

It wouldn't bother me in the slightest. I never felt any of these minis were examples of their best work (quite frankly I consider the primus medicae one of their worst sculpts) so never went for them.

There are plenty of Heresy fans who would like them, but never had the opportunity to physically be at a place that sold them. So go nuts with a general release I say, product exclusivity is nice occasionally, but for a system sorely missing so much from it's range...event exclusives just aren't a positive addition.

Stop, you're killing me with the nostalgia.

I had 4 of them and reluctantly sold each for exorbitant prices. The Primus Medicae - sold him during a game to an opponent, beautiful model.

There is value in these miniatures being rare. Not sure I would want GW taking that away through general releases.

GW has released hundreds of incredibly cool models that went out of print. They continue to release other incredibly cool models. Guess I'm wondering: what makes these ones so special that they must be reprinted and released to the general public?

Speaking as someone who plays a lot of MtG and has seen the Investment-aspect of it *ruin* my favorite format (you were too good for this world, Legacy) I *hate* the whole monetary value aspect that gets attached to ltd. Ed. Models. I own all of these, several of them still packaged as I await for a proper time to use them or to gift them to friends and I woul love if FW re-released them.

I always felt these sculpts were cutting room floor models for the most part

The knock off Remus is hillariously out of scale with pretty much every other marine release. He serves as a primaris ancient and towers over even them.

I hunted and bought NIB that UM herald to make a Remus conversion, just a week before his new mini was announced... At least it will be properly sized next to the new beakies.

The cataphractii praetor with the hammer is an excellent model, always thought he should have been available for all in the main range.

Agree, it's a fantastic model and models what a Combi-Volkite looks like in the setting. I also like the Tartaros Praetor and feel that should come back to offer that option alongside the MKIII and Cataphractii two-pack FW offers.

I wasn't a fan of the Primus Medicae model but I swapped out the right arm for one with a Lightning Claw and painted the leather a deep brown and that went a long way to improving it visually.

I’ll start:

Top Left: Traitor Librarian in Cataphractii Terminator Armour

Top Right: Praetor in Cataphractii Terminator Armour

Bottom Left: Autilon Skorr, the original delegatus

Bottom Right: Legion Praetor Tribune in Tartaros Terminator Armour

Most of the names are super-generic, but they were sold as:

Top row: Traitor Librarian in Cataphractii Armour, Ultramarines Legion Herald, Praetor in Cataphractii Armour

Bottom row: Autilon Skorr, Legion Primus Medicae in Cataphractii Armour, Space Marine Legion Centurion, Legion Praetor Tribune in Tartaros Armour

There's the IW character too

Dreygur, I think his name was. Man I love that model, wish I could get my hands on it

Yes, Narik Dreygur - a brilliant model!

We also have the Davinite Lodge Priest and the wonderful Breacher Marine Sergeant in Mark III that are sought after!

I think I'd echo the others that making them available further down the line is always positive - and having duplicates for lots of the above would be helpful for conversions or alternatives.
