Wulf Vengis
I'm thinking about getting one of those little paint pot shakers. Something like this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Gymark-Magnetic-Paint-Mixer-Lacquer-Shaker-Stirrer-Mixing-Machine-Tool-Dspiae-MS-01/333548372?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=101096397&&adid=22222222228000000000&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=42423897272&wl4=pla-51320962143&wl5=1023191&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=499597344&wl11=online&wl12=333548372&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAiAv_KMBhAzEiwAs-rX1L7dhWZoHf_E_bqgnyypAN3Z4-ab1SYFCRnX28vZenFrE0rTlJeEAhoCZ64QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Anyone have any experience with these things that could lend a review or advice on good brands/models? Rik Lightstar
That looks pretty heavy duty for hobby stuff to me. I'd look for a tattoo ink or nail polish shaker, they tend to have a little strap that holds the bottle in place, take up minimal space and shouldn't be too noisy. Something like either of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/foreverLily-Lacquer-Adjustable-Varnish-Shaking/dp/B09178RX97/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2B1A67CXWY98A&keywords=tattoo%2Bink%2Bshaker&qid=1637744574&sprefix=tattoo%2Bink%2Bsh%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyWFNRRVdCUk9IUjlIJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwOTcyNTAxVE01TDAyM1FQVjlNJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAwNzkxMDgyQ041RTBRUTNKN0swJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Accessories-Painters-Tattoos-Amateur-Pigments/dp/B092HD5WD3/ref=sr_1_6?crid=2B1A67CXWY98A&keywords=tattoo+ink+shaker&qid=1637744574&sprefix=tattoo+ink+sh%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-6 Rik Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/372426-paint-shakers/#findComment-5766846 Share on other sites

Wulf Vengis
Ya that's pretty much the one. I've spotted them in a few painting videos and thought that it might be nice to not have my elbows clicking and locking up during the shaking. I started adding ball bearings to the paint jars but it just isn't enough and i can't seem to shake/twist at the elbows and shoulders like I used to. Wrists seem fine thus far but the body is starting to age. I am not the young pup i once was. Thank you both for the advice. I'll be putting one of these on my "buy it soon" lost.
