phandaal
It would be cool, but the game isn’t canon and isn’t made by GW themselves so I wouldn’t put too much faith in this One hundred percent this. Plus like I said above, simply adding jump packs to existing Assault Intercessors would seem to be a direct violation of the design philosophy for Primaris. Even Titus in the game footage has boot thrusters. We're unlikely to get jump capability in any Primaris model that isn't designed for it from literally the ground up.The design philosophy for Primaris is "make something cool that lots and lots of people will buy." Considering GW's model designers created the new jump pack model for Primaris Titus, and they saw fit to specifically call it out in their WarCom article... Yeah we are going to get it as a model sooner or later. Either we get an upgrade sprue for Assault Intercessors, or we get Jump Assultors with boosters on their feet too. Blindhamster
I would bet on it being a distinct option from assault intercessors, likely in fast attack or elite slot. And yeah it’s almost guaranteed to happen when it was the GW designers that did the design not the game studio. Just a question of when rather than if Majkhel and Dark Shepherd 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/372580-jps-for-primaris-cc-units-2022-wh40kspace-marine-2/page/2/#findComment-5771665 Share on other sites
Rik Lightstar
The new troops option for Marines could simply be a revised Intercessor squad. Pyreblaster Flamers and Combi Weapons have both appeared with the Black Templars. Adding a heavy weapon option like the Las-Talon or a Primaris Missile Launcher doesn't seem unreasonable. They still wouldn't be QUITE as versatile as the classic Tactical Squad but it'd be popular I'm sure. Marshal Reinhard
Boosters on the legs is pretty much guaranteed. You can even kinda make it out during the quick sequence of game footage we saw phandaal 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/372580-jps-for-primaris-cc-units-2022-wh40kspace-marine-2/page/2/#findComment-5771675 Share on other sites
Jorin Helm-splitter
When I look, I don't see the leg boosters. At 2:17 in the trailer you get a pretty good look the back of his leg and I don't see anything. The exact point I made that you started off snarkily dismissing only to prove in the very next sentence. Brilliant shooting, Tex. Hope you weren't planning to use that foot for anything. Have you tried looking at the second screenshot in the first post? Take as long as you want, but here's a hint: It's the round thing right above his foot. Why would they put it on the inside of the leg though? Loving the passion for little jets on the bottoms of Space Marine feet here. My favorite part of their armor is the vents on the back of their power packs. If anyone dared to impugn those then I too would fly off the handle at strangers on th Internet. Keep that passion and life will be your oyster, my friend. Marshal Reinhard
It is just a game yes. With assets explicitly stated to have been made by Warhammer Design Studio, drawn attention to by GW themselves in an article on Warhammer Community. While it could be just that they were just nice and devoted their own man hours to design it for the game developers, its not too terribly long a stretch to imagine the design may have other intended uses. phandaal and Sarvis 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/372580-jps-for-primaris-cc-units-2022-wh40kspace-marine-2/page/2/#findComment-5771908 Share on other sites

If GW did not have another use in mind (hard to believe, but just for the sake of argument), they would once Little Timmy walks into GW stores across the world looking for the Space Marines that fly around on jump packs like Captain Primaris Lieutenant Titus.
