Looking through the field and realising just how many fantastic releases we had during the second year of a global pandemic, pretty amazing stuff all things considered.

In the end I went for Glutos, such a wonderful concept, new incarnation of something Slaaneshy, amazing stuff. It's a strong field this year for sure though.

Hard choice for me between Helbrecht and Be’lakor, but I ended up choosing the later. Of course this will probably mean that I’ll probably be burnt as a witch by my friendly, local neighbourhood crusaders.

Gonna make some enemies here but... lacking any cool RG or Necron models... Lord Kroak

It was a tough choice but at the end I just had no other choice than to give it to Lord Kroak. That model is literally perfect. Absolutely nothing I would've liked to be different.

I went for Kroak as well, a genuinely glorious mini.

Sigvald. Well proportioned, not over the top, great pose, easily converted, and not a model only an expert can make look good. Not familiar with so many of the options and would have preferred some linked images next to the option.

I actually, and it surprised me, went for the Sisters of Battle character standard bearer who’s name I can never remember. I know her bare head isn’t great but with the helmet on I think she’s an incredible model, and I tend to vote for a smaller model in these things than the big centrepiece stuff, as much as I like those. I do think they should do categories, like 40k, AoS, Specialist Games or something.

Outcast gangs in necromunda for me

Me too. Everyone else is looking at the bling, but me and you Jukkiz, we're looking at the practical.

GSC ? Gangers ? Cultists ? Something Guardish (like Penal) ? Inq Henchmen ?

All the opportunities they provide are brillant, and more important than £60 worth of monopose HQ. To think every boxset of the past few years has had "monopose ugh/waiting for multipart" complaints, It'd be fun to drum up support so that GW take the hint...

Absolutely my second choice

This is the problem—they’ll be stuck as a lot of people’s seconds, because the big cool centerpieces will always win this.

Kinda wish they did categories because the Bladeguard are hands down the best box kit they’ve ever done, IMO. I’m expecting Belakor will win, just the fact that he’s a system crossover means he’ll have 40K and AoS players’ votes (I voted for the AoS dragons because they’re awesome too and AoS stuff doesn’t often win these kind of things, but Belakor definitely deserves the win I expect he’ll get).

Lots of nice kits this year.

SM had greatness unleashed. Blade Veterans, the BT. Of course, their Marshal is nothing next to the Skitarii Marshal.

As much as I wanted to like the Sisters, all of their releases were flawed in some way.

I liked some of the big kits, Kroak and Glotus were great. Krondys is a smug looking gentleman.

I looked over all the releases, but in the end, there can be only one winner.

Ork Kommandos.

I would like if they showed exactly how many votes every release got, it would be interesting info.

I voted for the Bladeguard Veterans. I don't know why people don't rave about them more - they are some of the most impressive Veteran Astartes I could have imagined.

Swordbrethren exist

GW should have more than one category for model of the year. Best individual and best squad would more accurately reflect the nature of the models.

Voted for Belakor. Bladeguard would be a close second.

Mostly because I'm just tired of Marines in general. Bladeguard Veterans are awesome models and absolutely perfect for what I wanted to do with my army so naturally I got the Indomitus Box when it came out, but I really just don't want to see anything Marine anymore at the moment.
