mel_danes
I don't own any of this unit, but I like how they look. I like the idea it's used in a scouting role in a non-military capacity, like miners use them to go over really rough terrain. What's the brood opinion on this unit? What do you arm it with if you use it, how many to run, what role does it play in your forces? pierre 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/372724-cult-sentinel/ Share on other sites
Master Antaeus
There is nothing a cult sentinel can do that a ridgerunner cannot do better and with actual faction benefits. Maybe at low points, if you are struggling for anti-tank. Maybe. Actually no, the Ridgerunner is still better in every way. If you like the model, I suggest getting 3 for an allied Guard detachment. Their sentinels get better starts and better overall support. I suspect they are there because they used to be a reasonable option in former editions, but now their design space has been co-opted by newer releases. Jorgend Lupus
Overall they are outperformed by any other fast attack, thats true ! But I still sometimes field a couple of individual Recon Sentinels with heavy flamers just for the scout move, to put pressure on mid field objectives early game and force my opponent to make choices... But sure they're just here for fun and because they are cheap ^^ brother_b 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/372724-cult-sentinel/#findComment-5779983 Share on other sites

ThePenitentOne
If you REALLY like sentinels, you can still bring them as part of a brood brother detachment, but it isn't really worthwhile in a competitive game. mel_danes 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/372724-cult-sentinel/#findComment-5781564 Share on other sites
