Brother Christopher
That's a wicked dreadnought, cool conversion - definitely very characterful and unique. I also like your paint scheme very much. Going back in past, I am a huge fan of the scouts/acolytes - they're giving me strong Turok vibes and I love that. Ive admired youre work over the years! While I wasnt specifically going for Turok, it woukd certainly acurately describe the kind of vibe I was going for, so Im very pleased they did as intended. Brother Christopher
You definitely have a fun project here. The sources of inspiration for your work here are original and not obvious at all for a 40k collection but this makes the conversions that much cooler. To be honest, I've been surprised to discover that I haven't seen your work in this thread before. I'm curious what'll be next! space wolf 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/372774-the-void-panthers-brutalis-dread-wip-27-jun-2025/page/3/#findComment-6118157 Share on other sites
space wolf
Well im currently working on a Brutalis Dread. I have another crusaider squad and terminators to start and finish. After that its just adding things here and there, to round out thr army. Id like to get a land raider and some jump troops, but thats way down the line. Thanks again, im glad the sources im taking inspiration from isnt super obvious. I did kind of want them to stand on their own. space wolf
So ive gotten some serious progress on the "base outline" of the brutalis. Ive changed the claw to look more like cat claws. Just have to do the other arm, and then i can start on the embellishments. space wolf
So I think I have the final silhouette done. I wanted him to kind if look like wolverine, ready to pounce (or this:) I always modify my dreads to make them a bit taller and less pregnant looking, so I'll need to add something to the midsection to bulk it out. Thoughts? After having done the Boxnought (something I will NEVER do again, lol) I wanted this one to look more like a redemptor. Its a goal of mine to have each model.in my army converted in some way. Needless to say, it took me a week to build this dreadnought instead if an afternoon, lol. But I think it was worth it.
