Yeah i think so too. Some of it was done because i needed to cover up the corners from the chapter symbol waterslide transfer. At this point they are all covered in varnish, so theres not much i can do except accept it. Thank you for the feedback. If it continues to bother me, i may just paint over it.

So aside from some minor GS work to attach all the claws and teeth to their respective ropes, this sword bro is done. Im using the bladeguard vet kit, so ill be doing these three at a time. I think 10 to 15 sword bretheren should be sufficient. Thoughts?

Fantastic work!

I’m all thumbs when it comes to green stuff and sculpting in general!

Loving the head! Did you attach the spikes? It’s the old  MKIII right?

Thank you! Yeah its an old MKIII helmet with resin spikes glued on. Just super glued them on there and dripped some "spruegoo" around the glue point to strengthen it and to make the transition seamless.

Looking good!

If I were to quibble, its about the backpack standard on the last guy - the droop (in particular the bend in the middle) doesn't make sense to me.  If it were acting purely as affected by gravity, due to the tilt in the standard "pole", it should be hanging down straight onto the marine's head.  On the other hand, if it is being pushed by the wind, the bottom portions should be pushed as far back as the bend, as the parts farthest away from the "pole" on the flag are usually the parts of the flag most effected by air currents.

To me, its current droop/bend would make sense if there is something tieing the standard back to the "pole" at the bend point - so maybe if you added another brass ring there?

Great work, as always. I'm impressed that you went through the effort of altering the legs (knee pads) and tabards on the Bladeguard models. After inspecting the sprues, I was a bit apprehensive about fiddling with these but I actually might give it a go, too, when I get around to doing something with my models.

You've gotta love the poses, too. The BG kit offers some really cool bits and you've went with the coolest ones for these!

@Dr_Ruminahui Thanks for the feedback! i see what youre saying. Well Ive finished him and made some adjustments, good looking out .

@Brother Christopher thanks! Yeah the bladeguard models are top notch! But i probably wont be buying aniyher one to convert. They are a bit to "chonky" for my tastes...and there is a lot of detail i have to remove, just to add it back on. On the plus side it comes with a lot of bits i can use with regular BT bodies .

Finished up the next guy.

Wanted him to look like an old fashioned headsman or executioner. I waffle back and forth if the axe head is just too comically big.  Thoughts? Thanks for looking.

Edited by space wolf

Oh, yeah, it is comically big but it's also awesome. He has a commanding presence and the axe is what the original model needed. I've always felt that the BG Ancient is a cool model in theory but he was a bit too static and I never really liked it, beyond the theory.

Replacing the reliquary-banner thingy with a ridiculous executioner's axe 'fixed' the miniature. The model gives of an aura of stoic gravitas. I love it.
