With a new Inquisitor model, unfortunately store anniversary exclusive for now, can we hope for some decent Inquisition rules on the new Vigilus Book?

Considering we only just got the 9th ed touch up probably not. I know it wasn't any kind of update, but there is a current book with rules. :-/

 

Honestly, considering he's a store anniversary model, I'd be surprised if he even got bespoke rules.

Since he was named, I assume he will have rules.

 

While there are 9th edition rules there is always room for improvement.

Apparently the Inquisitor is written about in the text on the back of the new Vigilus book. That being the case, I expect a data sheet at the very least.

 

I don't expect updates to the army list itself... But there could be something like an Army of Renown that includes this dude.

 

If we get anything for the Inquisition as a whole, I would hope for Crusade content, as that was not in the Octarius update for Inquisition, yet it was in the Octarius update for Rogue Traders.

Inquisition rules were already "updated to 9th" in Octarius book1 (actually just copy paste).

 

Also, having exactly 1 psyker in list will bring obviously disadvantage in some matchup.

For the record, it wasn't actually a copy paste- it was a downgrade; they removed the Ordo Malleus Inquisitor in Terminator Armour. A copy paste would have been preferred.

 

Note: This is based on hearsay- I didn't buy the book because of the lack of Crusade content for the Inquisition. I probably still will get a copy eventually- I need part two for the Rogue Trader Crusade rules, and having half the set is not ideal. But it wasn't enough of a must have that I rushed out to get it. I even had a copy in my hand the last time I was in a store, but the manager and I chatted about impulse buying... Which it would have been; they didn't have what I was actually looking for (Octarius 2, WD with Nidzilla list, Sisters comic #4). 

 

Because the manager is super cool and knew it wasn't what I wanted, he actually encouraged me to wait until they had something he knew I would be happy with.
